A Safe Gentle Irrigation and Cleansing of the Colon

 

Drink fluids a half hour before or 2-3 hours after eating but not during. Drinking fluids with your food dilutes the digestive enzymes that occur naturally from chewing your food.

 

Avoid soda, tea, and caffeine. Caffeine kills the beneficial bacteria present in the colon. Try herbal tea.

Avoid bread and bread products as much as possible. The flour in bread is very difficult to digest.

Try acidophilus or a Pro biotic to restore the beneficial bacteria in your colon.

Elevate your feet 6-8" when using the bathroom to compensate for the curvature at the end of the colon.

Better yet, if you have the balance, flexibility, and strength, and are not overweight, it is best to put your feet on the toilet seat as if you were going to stand on the toilet and then squat your buttocks down towards the toilet seat and evacuate your waste in this position. It is the same position that a catcher uses in a baseball game only you are sitting on the toilet.

Sit on the toilet as many times as possible throughout the day even if you don't feel like you have to go. You may have to go without knowing it or you may pass gas which is important to get out of your system also. Try not to push too hard. Pushing too hard can cause hemorrhoids.

Begin home or professional colonics as soon as possible.
